PROJECT SUMMARY
The Your Storage Center at Flying Horse sits on 4.25 acres at the intersection of Highway 83 and North Gate Blvd in Colorado Springs in the upscale neighborhood of Flying Horse. Given the quality of construction of the surrounding built environment, it was clear a typical self-storage facility with large, multi-story, non-descript big-box buildings was not going work. Ongoing work sessions with City planners, the overall developer, adjacent homeowners, and the Client, resulted in a design with multiple, single-story, low-profile storage structures with stone veneer by Cultured Stone, El Rey stucco and architectural metal panels by MBCI to blend in with the adjacent residences and existing commercial retail buildings.

This state-of-art facility provides 57,950 SF of storage across 7 buildings including temperature-controlled, RV and drive-up self-storage units. The facility is fully-secured and monitored at all times by a resident manager using security cameras and a computerized communications network that identifies and logs access to each unit. With security and high quality construction, customers are likely to feel as if they’re storing their property in their own homes.
