Shaun Goldman, GGP

Shaun Goldman, GGP

Architect

Shaun Goldman was inspired as young boy to become an architect by the architecture of his child hood home, A secluded modern Florida cracker tree house tucked away deep in a North Florida Hammock. Growing up in wonderment of the natural beauty of the woods instilled a great love and respect for nature in him. Today, Shaun strives to find the harmony of the built and natural environments through responsible, simple and honest architecture that is shaped by the natural phenomena of the building site.

Shaun received his formal education at the University of Colorado, the University of New South Wales, and the University of Florida. He is a certified Green Globes Professional and is experienced in a wide range of commercial projects ranging from large scale institutional campuses to smaller light industrial and retail.

Joshua Kern

Joshua Kern

Designer

Josh grew up in the wilds and waters of New Hampshire, where his interest in architecture was sparked by a summer job on a framing crew and an admiration for the ever-changing Boston skyline. Upon graduating from Keene State College with a B.S. in Architecture, he was faced with a down economy. Resolved to turn an obstacle into an opportunity, he strapped on a pouch and spent two years as an assistant to a high-end custom residential contractor and cabinet-maker based in New Hampshire’s scenic coast. There he gained new and honed existing skills in the building trades. A craving for more adventure and a childhood full of Wild America reruns prompted a move to Colorado in search of greater opportunities and new experiences.

Josh has worn many hats over the years and has likewise gained an eclectic mix of skills and knowledge: architectural design and drafting, furniture and millwork design, fabrication and repair, metal shop fabrication drawing, carpentry and other trade skills. This background makes him an adept problem solver with an eye toward detail and constructability.

The cutting edge of architecture and technology fascinates him most, especially as visualization and design push into virtual reality as once fantastical ideas are becoming common aspects of workflow. His ultimate vision is to participate in the widescale adoption of arcology as a model of sustainable design and construction.

Outside of work he is an avid musician and enthusiastic outdoorsman.
